Intermediate classes, admissions to resume soon in Jamshedpur Women’s University

Jamshedpur, July 21: Intermediate classes would soon begin in Jamshedpur Women’s University. Admission to Intermediate courses is also expected to start soon, informed university sources.

Sources said the Vice Chancellor Dr Anjila Gupta took up the issue of resuming Intermediate classes and admissions with the Secretary and Director of the Department of Higher Education, Government of Jharkhand, and also discussed it with the office of Jharkhand Governor, JAC Chairman, Principal Secretary of School Education department, DC East Singhbhum and DEO. After getting the nod of higher authorities, the JWU management has decided to run Intermediate classes as usual. After getting university status, Jamshedpur Women’s College had suddenly stopped Intermediate classes and admissions. Intermediate students had been agitating against this move and demanding completion of their courses. Now they can heave a sigh of relief as their classes would start soon since the Higher Education Department of Jharkhand government has authorized Jamshedpur Women’s University to run Intermediate courses and take fresh admissions, sources said.
