Jamshedpur, Feb 8: Srinath University’s School of Commerce and Management organised an interactive session on Union Budget – 2023. Chartered Accountant Sugam Saraiwala was the keynote speaker at the session. It may be mentioned that CA Sugam Saraiwala is an executive committee member of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and currently is CPE Chairman at RVS and Associates.
Dr Govind Mahato, Vice Chancellor of Srinath University felicitated CA Sugam Saraiwala with a sapling and memento as tokens of appreciation. All faculties and Students of the School of Commerce and Management were present in the University Auditorium for the interactive session. Anju Mahato from Bachelor of Commerce was the host of the Interactive Session on Union Budget – 2023.
While addressing the students ,CA Sugam Saraiwala said, “Every year a budget is prepared by the Ministry of Finance. But this is not the final budget. It is, in fact, only an estimated bill that has been passed for the year. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has to develop India from developing to a developed country by 2025. The Budget – 2023 is a reflection of India’s focus on green development to ensure zero carbon emission by using renewable energy and the capital investment required for the infrastructural development.”
The CA provided an insight of the Budget to the students about the budget when he stated, “The government is focusing on the seven priorities that are inclusive development, reaching the last mile, infrastructural development and investment, unleashing the potential, green growth, youth power and the financial sector.”
CA Sugam Saraiwala discussed with the students on the income tax slab rates. “The changed income tax slab rates have changed thus making it a boon for the common man. This Budget highlights the government’s immediate vision for an inclusive development highlighted in the slogan, ‘Sabka Sath — Sabka Vikas.’”
Sugam Saraiwala provided detailed insight into the government schemes that are to be launched for the welfare of the society.
