Jamshedpur: All the Inner Wheel Clubs of Jamshedpur came together to celebrate 95th foundation day of International Inner Wheel Club. The organisation which is one of the largest women’s service voluntary organisations in the world has been active in social activities since its inception.
Four clubs in the city namely-Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur, IWC of Jamshedpur East, IWC of Jamshedpur West and IWC of Jamshedpur Zest jointly organised a blood donation camp at Jamshedpur blood bank on January 10 to mark the occasion.
Presidents of the clubs Shweta Chand, Rekha Jha, Nisha Gadia, Amita Sinha welcomed Chief Guest Nalini Rammurthy and other guests Aruna Taneja, Pasam Adesara, Alokananda Bakshi, after which the camp was officially inaugurated by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
Guests on the occasion informed the gathering about importance of blood donation and how it can save person’s life. Inner Wheel club members donated blood along with others. Blood bank’s Sanjay Choudhary, Dr. LB Singh and technician supported in making the camp successful.
At the camp Jayant Bhuiyan donated blood for the 99th time. Neelam Jaiswal, Rekha Jha, Archana, Sonali Mohanty, Neha Shanghari also donated blood. A total of 45 units of blood was collected during the camp.
