Jamshedpur, Feb. 13: Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur provided four sewing machines to the children of Jagriti School, a signature project of the club, on Saturday.
District chairman Aruna Taneja distributed the sewing machines to four happy school projects. The sewing machines were also inaugurated by the Taneja. Two sewing machines were gifted to Nisha and Manisha to empower them so that they can earn their livelihood and be independent. The other two machines are for other school children to help learn them stitching.
Club member Rekha Jaiswal is guiding the ladies and taking regular classes so that they can learn stitching. Classes are being conducted three days a week in two batches. The club also celebrated Saraswati Puja with the children of the school.
Club members present at the event included president Dr Rita Jha, district chairman Aruna Taneja, secretary Alokananda Bakshi, vice-president Sujata Sachdev, editor Shweta Chand, Renu Jaiswal, Rekha Jaiswal, Sudha Saberwal, Archana Shekhar, Vinita Shah and Indu Bhambri.
