Jamshedpur, June 15: Inner wheel club of Jamshedpur converted Langeratekri Primary School, Jugsalai into a ‘Happy School’.
The Happy school was inaugurated by PP Nalini Ramurthy on Wednesday.
Painted classroom and two wash stations were also opened during the programme.
On the occasion drawing completion was held and crayons were given to 154 children. Talk on healthy eating habit was also given to the children.
The facilities provided to the students of a ‘Happy School’ include- installation of water tank with motor to supply water to all the taps in school. Previously the students used to draw water from handpump and carry the water to bathrooms and kitchen.
Other facilities include 26 benches and desks, black school shoes to the 154 students, water filters for clean drinking water, Computers and speakers, English speaking classes started by E- Learning, classes in Maths, Science and computers started by E- Learning, competitions held from time to time to develop students.
Members of the club present on the occasion were President Sujata Sachdev, Nalini Ramurthy, Manju Rani Singh, Vinita Shah, Gurdeep and others.
