Jamshedpur: Informing people about the welfare schemes of Central and state governments is the social duty of one and all. This was observed by Chief Minister Raghubar Das during Vijaya Milan function organized at Sone Mandap in Sidhgora on Sunday.
Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Das said festivals are the pillars of Indian culture. Every festival makes every individual more energetic and enthusiastic.
The CM said womens power, youths energy and experience of aged people can make even apparently impossible things possible. He said the Chhath puja organized at Surya Mandir in Sidhgora is known all over the state for its success every year. Due to public participation and discipline, the major festival is celebrated in a hassle-free manner, he said.
The CM discussed preparations for Chhath puja with members of Surya Mandir committee. He appealed to all members and volunteers to make the festival a grand success.
The CM said the government had so far covered 57 lakh families under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana in Jharkhand. Around 85 per cent population of the state would be covered under the scheme, he said.
Das said the scheme would make sure that no one dies in want of treatment or financial help. He further said that the city people and civil society members should come together to make the city a top performer in Swachh Sarvekshan 2019.
