Industrialists appraise central minister with persisting problems

Jamshedpur, Aug 27: City�s industrialist Harpal Singh Happy and his Ranchi counterpart Vinay Jaiswal met Minister for Heavy Industries Arvind Ganpath Sawant and apprised him of the crisis riddled industrial scenario in Jharkhand and also suggested solutions to ease the situation.

Harpal Singh briefed the Minister in detail while informing him oh block closures in some industries including Tata Motors. He said that there were many MSI and SSI units in Adityapur industrial Area as well as in the district of Saraikela-Kharsawan that were ancillary units of the Tata industries. These units, Harpal contended were adversely affected by the block closures and had closed shop leaving thousands of workers unemployed and on the brink of starvation. The industrialist also handed over this information in writing to Sawant.

Vinay Jaiswal too gave a detailed update on the status of HEC. The Minister took note of the industrialists� pointers and assured that positive steps would be taken to ameliorate the problems facing the industries. He also informed them that he would visit Jharkhand in September next and after assessing the ground realities would set the ball rolling for elimination of industrial contretemps.
