Repentance is the best way to redeem oneself morally: Pandit Tripathy

Jamshedpur, Aug 27: On the third day of his discourse on Bhagwat Gita at Satyanarayan Mandir Thakur Bari in Jugsalai Chowk Bazaar, Pandit Santosh Krishna Tripathy �Rishi� explained the various phases of hell as per deeds in the mortal world. He said that always remembering God was a way of keeping away from evil and evil deeds. He also illustrated the devotion of Prahlad that led to God revealing Himself before him in the form of Nrisingh.

While discussing the various stages of hell Pandit Tripathy stated that those who insulted religion, demeaned God and humiliated their forefathers and led wayward and sinful lives went to the various stages of hell as per the intensity of their sins. He said, �The Puranas contain descriptions of hell, of Narkasuras (demon kings of hell), the full moon phase of hell, hell chaturdasi. The Bhagwat states that a soul bound hell-wards can be saved from eternal torture in the sinner undertakes to perform acts of repentance.�

While elaborating on the chapter of Prahlad, Pandit Tripathy stated that overwhelmed by the devotion of this Bhakt the Lord appeared before him in the guise of Nrisingh by tearing through an iron pole for Prahlad was convinced that God dwelt even in iron poles. The Lord killed Hirankashyap and saved the life of Prahlad.
