Jamshedpur, Sept 11: Kerala Public School, Kadma took the initiative of inculcating Healthy food habits amongst the students of the School.
Pre � Primary Segment of K.P.S Kadma celebrated �Healthy Food Mela�, showing the display of fruits, salads and juices.
The event started with Role play of Pre � Primary teacher�s nutritional content of fruits, vegetables followed by the session on �Tummy Tiffins Made Healthy� for the mothers of Nursery children on Friday, September 11. The session was conducted by Mrs Siju Ashoka, Dietician in Tinplate Hospital.
The gathering was welcomed and address by the Principal of the school, Mrs Sharmila Mukherjee. The doctor instilled the values of proper nutrition among parents and their wards.
She emphasized on the ill effects of malnutrition which may lead to problems like obesity, indigestion, restlessness and lack of concentration. She stressed on importance of Balanced Diet and insisted on significance of water and health drinks.
The mothers got tips to prepare healthy tiffin for their child in an innovative way taking into consideration its nutritional content.
The Vice Principal assembled the vote of gratitude while acknowledging the contribution of doctor in spreading awareness of Health and Hygiene.
She also appreciated and thanked the parents for the immense support and cooperation throughout the programme. Coordinators Mrs Alamelu & Mrs Shalini Sethi were also present at the event.
