Ranchi, April 11: Addressing a high level delegation of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) in the conference room of Project Building, Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that there is immense potential for planting food processing unit in Jharkhand. He said that two wheeler and tractor plant can also be established in the state.
Das made a suggestion to CII officials to attract investors and industrialists and promote industrialization in Jharkhand. He said that there is ample land in the state for industrialization, especially the eastern part is ready to become a hub.
“In order to promote forest produce of the state, boards are being formed. The work of designing, packaging, branding and marketing of silk and lac will be done by professionals. Women of the villages will be trained and skilled and connected with employment. Homely usable products and other things like blanket, dress and towels will be prepared by women and the government will buy them,” said the CM.
Das said the Vidyalay Chalo Chalayein Abhiyan should be made a public campaign. Girls should be educated and people should be made aware about child and women maternity. He said that poverty will be eradicated at any cost. He called on CII to work for the success of Vidyalay Chalo Chalayein Abhiyan.
Industry Secretary Sunil Kumar Barnwal was also present on this occasion.
