Seraikela: Illegal quarrying is reportedly on near the new culvert close to River Kharkai under Seraikela police station area these days.
Several crusher unit owners are allegedly carrying out illegal mining of stone in the area in a bid to line their pockets. But the mining department is doing nothing to put reins on such activities.
