IIT alumnus leads inspiring Mathematics workshop at Loyola School Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Dec 13: Loyola School Telco hosted an enlightening Mathematics Workshop spearheaded by Harsh Tiwary, an IIT Kharagpur graduate and mentor from the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education. The event, designed for students from Classes VIII to XII, aimed to deepen mathematical understanding and spark interest in competitive examinations like IOQM, IIT-JEE, and NEET.

Tiwary shared practical insights into critical topics such as the Principle of Counting and Calculating Angles Between Clock Hands, breaking down complex problems into simple, actionable steps. Highlighting the importance of mentorship, he shared an inspiring story of a Loyola student who overcame academic hurdles to secure admission to IIT.

“I believe every student has the potential to excel with the right guidance and persistent effort,” said Tiwary, who has mentored several KVPY scholars admitted to IISc Bangalore.

Encouraging students to pursue advanced training, he introduced his educational institute, which specializes in nurturing talent for competitive exams. “This session taught us new ways to approach problems. It was both motivational and highly educational,” shared Priya Sinha, a Class XI participant.

The workshop was met with enthusiastic applause from both students and faculty, highlighting the significance of expert-led programs in shaping future achievers.
