IIMM hosts debate on pros and cons of Make in India will boost the Economy

Jamshedpur, April 21: Anand Chandra Das and Nitin Kumar Jha were declared joint leaders and were awarded the first prize as they spoke for the motion while Pankaj Prakash won the first prize speaking against the motion during a debate competition on �Make in India will boost the Economy�.

The contest was organized by Indian Institute of Material Management (IIMM) as part of the Material Management Week celebration held at Centre for Excellence on Monday, April 21.

Out of eleven participants 3 spoke against the motion which saw a very lively contest. The participants came with various logics to prove their points.

Winners who spoke for the motion included Chandra Kishore Sada who secured second prize while Md. Wasim won the third prize. Winners of against the motion were Lokesh Kumar who bagged the second prize while Abhijeet Bhattacharjee won the third prize.

The Judges for the event were G D Pandey, Rajeev Kumar and Neelesh Mishra. The week long celebration will see Students speak � �Future Supply Chains for Global Competitiveness� on Wednesday, A Essay competition on �Source to Shelf: India needs better Supply Chains� will be held on Thursday followed by cultural program during the concluding session.
