Jamshedpur: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) organized a welcome ceremony for students enrolled in the January 2026 academic session at the Karim City College Study Centre auditorium.
The programme was presided over by IGNOU Coordinator Dr. Firoz Ibrahimi, who warmly welcomed the new students and introduced them to the study centre. Dr. Ibrahimi assured students that they could visit the centre anytime during working hours to resolve academic or administrative issues.
Faculty members including Dr. Kausar Tasneem, Dr. Basudhara Rai, Dr. Zahid Parvez, and Dr. Sandhya Sinha also addressed the students and provided detailed guidance regarding classes, assignments, examinations, and academic management.
The speakers informed the students that IGNOU classes were likely to commence in the first week of August, while examinations would be conducted as per the university schedule.
