Jamshedpur : As part of the Rural and Economic Development Survey Programme, a group of students and professors from Indira Gandhi National Open University, conducted a
detailed survey at Aamadubi , rural tourist destination.
In its effort to promote rural tourism in the State, Jharkhand’s Tourism Department dedicated
the first-of-its-kind ‘Paryatan Gram’ Amadubi at Panigiah at Dhalbhumgarh block of East
Singhbhum 66km from Jamshedpur.
They studied the different problems faced by the rural people, children education, women
empowerment and SHG groups, farmer’s club, their social economy, education, health, loan
management under SHG persons.
It was delightful experiences for the student who got to know so much about the life of the rural people and found the area has immense potential to become a prime centre for rural tourism given its unique photography, culture, rituals, tradition and cuisine.
The students who were a part of the survey were: Poonam Kurwa, Poonam Kumari, Neetu Kumari, Gudia Kumari, Saloni Vishwakarma Anita Kumari and Aditya Giri.
