Jamshedpur, April 9: Inspector General of Police (Operation) Akhilesh Kumar Jha visited Jamshedpur police office on Saturday to hold a special meeting for Ramnavami. He reviewed the arrangements for Ramnavami procession and issued directions to the district police officials in this regard.
He said the officials of various Akhara committees and prominent residents of various areas should be kept in touch to effectively control any untoward situation during the procession. He said the police should get instant information about any situation to ensure prompt remedial action.
Jamshedpur SSP M Tamil Vanan, SP (STF) Prashant Anand, Rail SP Rishabh Kumar Jha, SP City K Vijay Shankar, SP Rural Mukesh Kumar and other senior police officials were present at the meeting.
