IDTR Jamshedpur to revive technical school, free training to SC-ST students

Gamharia, Dec 21: The Indo Danish Tool Room (IDTR) in Industrial Area will revive Samsung Technical Institute in Adityapur, which was closed since the last three years. The foundation of this institute was laid in the year 2014 with the help of Ministry of SSME at a cost of Rs 2 crore but was closed down in 2017.

IDTR Senior Manager, Ashutosh Kumar said, “IDTR has taken the initiative to revive the shut institute. Training at this institute will commence early in the new year. Initially, training will include a three month course in HHP (Tablets, Mobiles, Smart Phones) and AV (LED, LCD, TV, Home Theater) and four months for RACHA (Air Conditioner, Refrigerator, Washing Machine, Microwave Oven). Intermediate or ITI and B Tech pass students will be given training during the course period. SC / ST students would be given free training, while general and OBC students will have to pay a fee in the range of Rs 15 to 20 thousand. Tata Motors would meet 50 percent of the fees for four months’ training of general and OBC students.”

Production Engineer Sumit Singh has been made the nodal officer for this course and his team includes

placement officers Pankaj Kumar, Jitendra Kumar, Sangita Kumari and Basant Kumar. Sumit Singh stated that the first batch training will commence between January 15 and 20 next year. He said that 10th pass students would be allopwed to participate in this enrollment process in Indo Danish Tool Room. This time a provision of special scholarship would be provided for completing ITI course atg IDTR.

SC/ST students are being admitted to ITI in Indo Danish Tool Room on scholarship. Some of these courses are completely free. Different fees have been fixed for different trades for general category students in the institute. According to the notice issued by the institute, 10th pass students can directly contact the institute for admission for the session 2021-22.
