Idols damaged, attempt to disturb peace in Ranchi

Ranchi, January 8:  Once again a conspiracy has been hatched to spoil the communal atmosphere in Ranchi.

A temple has been vandalized near DAV School in Bariatu area of the state capital. On Sunday night, unknown people entered the temple and broke the idols of many gods and goddesses including Lord Ram and Hanuman.

When the priests reached the temple in the morning, they were shocked to see the damaged idols.

There is tension in the area due to the incident. The police have been involved in the investigation of the case.

The vandalism in the temple has been done at a time when the atmosphere in the Ram temple of Ayodhya is filled with joy over the consecration.

 Like other parts of the country, Poojit Akshat is being delivered to every home in Ranchi too. Meanwhile, a conspiracy was hatched to disturb the communal harmony in Ranchi. There is anger among the people of the area after the incident. A large number of people blocked the road. Slogans were raised loudly.

When the priest reached Shri Ram Janaki Temple in Bariatu Housing Colony in the morning, he found the idols broken. When he informed the temple management, a large number of people gathered there. BJP MP Sanjay Seth, Ranchi MLA CP Singh also reached the spot. BJP leaders said that a conspiracy has been hatched to spoil the atmosphere before the inauguration of Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22.

The police who reached the spot initially called it an incident of theft, which increased the anger of the people. Later, the police called the forensic team on the spot and collected samples. The temple priest said that if it was an incident of theft then why were the idols broken. The people present at the spot expressed their anger and demanded immediate action from the police.
