ICSE national topper Jamshedpur’s Shambhavee Jayaswaal honoured by Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren

Jamshedpur, Sep 3: Jamshedpur’s bright student, Shambhavee Jayaswaal, who topped the ICSE Class 10 board exam at the national level with a perfect 100 percent score, was honored by Chief Minister Hemant Soren in Ranchi on Tuesday. A student of Loyola School, Shambhavee has brought pride not only to Jharkhand but also to the entire nation through her hard work and self-study.

The Jharkhand government organized a grand felicitation ceremony to honor toppers of matriculation and intermediate examinations of the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) and other boards. At the event, Chief Minister Hemant Soren presented the toppers with gifts including a Suzuki 125 CC scooty, a laptop, a mobile phone, and a cheque of ₹3 lakh.

Apart from the toppers, appointment letters were also distributed to newly recruited PGT teachers, assistant professors in mathematics and science, and lab assistants. The program was attended by Finance Minister Radhakrishna Kishore, Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Majhi, and Labour, Employment and Training Minister Sanjay Prasad Yadav.

Addressing the students, CM Soren said the government is committed to supporting and encouraging the youth of Jharkhand. “Along with financial assistance, laptops and mobile phones are being provided to students as per the need of the times. If students take one step towards success, we will help them take ten,” he said.

The Chief Minister also made a significant announcement during the ceremony. He declared that girls would now be allowed admission in the prestigious Netarhat Residential School, which had previously been open only to boys. Soren further highlighted that Jharkhand is the first state in the country to offer scholarships for higher education abroad, with the government spending crores of rupees to support talented students.
