Noamundi, Feb. 6: A team of 15 trainee IAS officers took part in Yojna Banao Abhiyan at Pokharpi village of Noamundi block in the West Singhbhum district on Saturday.
Seeing so many IAS trainees for first time, the villagers were elated. The Adivasi villagers welcomed the officers with their traditional songs and dances.
The trainee IAS officers interacted with the villagers and inquired about the Yojna Banao Map and asked them whether it was prepared by villagers by themselves or with the help of the mukhiya, panchayat sevak and rojgar sevak.
Meanwhile the IAS trainees took the stock of Aganbari vaccination program and about the locals� nutrient status.
They also enquired about the local festivals such as Mage Parb, Bah Parb and Heroh Parb from the villagers.
The team also inspected Shouldari Utkramik Middle School and asked the children about their mid-day meal program.
The team of IAS trainees comprised Priynaka Verma, Aditya Upal, Asha Ajit, Anil Damliya, Visnu Chandan, Bhuvneswari, Sudhakar Sindhe, Ayush Prasad, Alok Yadav, Raguraj Raja, Sanskriti Jain, Saryu, Satya Krishnana and Imb Shekhar.
Others present on the occasion included E E Narendra Kumar, BDO Amren Dang, CO Ravi Kishore Ram, block welfare officer Ravindra Singh Dev, and mukhiya Krishna Laguri.
