Ranchi, August 22: Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren charged BJP of accusing him as a land mafia.
Addressing a rally at Palamu on Thursday, Hemant Soren said “I was called a land mafia. I was called a land thief. I was also put in jail on this charge.”
Hemant Soren had come to Palamu to give the gift of Jharkhand Chief Minister Mainiya Samman Yojana to the women of three districts of Palamu division, Palamu, Garhwa and Latehar.
Hemant Soren said that the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Central Government left no stone unturned to harass him.
“Many efforts were made to topple my government. Attempts were made to break our party. False allegations were made against the Chief Minister of Jharkhand and I was sent to jail. But, there is delay in God’s house, but no injustice and by the order of the High Court and the Supreme Court I am before you,” said Soren.
Hemant Soren said that assembly elections will be held in Jharkhand in November-December.
“With elections near you all have to be careful. As soon as the elections come closer, our opponents will start playing Hindu-Muslim card. They did this in the Lok Sabha elections. But the people of Jharkhand and the country made them in such a condition that they had to take the help of crutches to form the government,” said Soren.
Hemant Soren said that the opposition people are going to take out a Yuva Akrosh Rally.
“It is surprising. These people have stopped giving jobs. Most of the jobs were given to people in the army. Most of the youth used to get jobs in railways and banks. Appointments have stopped everywhere. But, we are giving employment to people in Jharkhand,” said Soren.
The Chief Minister said that his government has done a lot of work in the interest of the common people in just five years.
He claimed that in just two weeks, more than 45 lakh women registered their names in the Jharkhand Chief Minister Mainya Samman Yojana. So far, the applications of 43 lakh women have been approved. The Chief Minister has announced that before August 31, Rs 1,000 of the first installment of Samman Rashi will be transferred to the accounts of all registered women.
