Another first for Hemant Soren, 70 MLAs to get house in years
Ranchi, November 20: Adding another feather to the cap of the Chief Minister Hemant Soren, after 22 years since the formation of the state, the construction work of MLA residence started on Sunday.
Hyderabad-based agency KMV Projects started the construction work of 70 bungalows after performing Bhumi Pujan and ground breaking ceremony. The ground + one storied structure will be built at a cost of Rs 216.05 crores on 43.50 acres of land near the new assembly in HEC core capital area of Ranchi.
According to the tentative schedule the Bungalows will be built in two years.
At present, the MLAs are staying in the Russian Hostel of HEC. Incidentally, senior MLAs are also living in HEC bungalows. Under construction, 70 duplexes with all facilities will be built in the MLA’s housing complex. An auditorium, a club house, an indoor stadium, a convention shopping center, a health center, children’s park, separate barracks for legislators, bodyguards and other security personnel, an underground water tank and an overhead water tank will also be made.
A lot of tree plantation will also be done for the clean environment and protection of the environment. For attraction, provision of flower beds has also been made along with lighting and landscaping. The construction of MLA residence and campus will be completed in two years. The construction agency KMV has a track record of timely completion of works.
Earlier Jharkhand Urban Planning and Management Institute (Jupmi) building was built by KMV Projects. KMV has completed 90 percent of the work on 11 residences of ministers in time. KMV is also doing the work of Transport Nagar in Dublia near Ranchi.
