Jamshedpur, July 31 : In a shocking incident a woman was pushed from Domuhani bridge. Twenty-year-old woman was found lying with a broken leg under the newly-constructed Domuhani bridge over Subernarekha under Kapali police station outpost area this morning.
The woman, identified as Baby Mahto, who is a resident of Kapali had been pushed by her husband from 40 ft height of the Domuhani bridge late last night. Police recovered the young woman and rushed her to MGM Medical College Hospital’s emergency where she is undergoing treatment.
Baby who was married to Rakesh Mahto (26) two years ago is reeling in pain at the medical college hospital emergency for the treatment.
OC, Kapali police station, Birendra Paswan arrested Rakesh for trying to kill her wife by pushing from the Domuhani bridge.
” We are investigating the incident. We have arrested the accused Rakesh Mahto for trying to kill his wife whom we recovered from the Subernarekha river close to the Domuhani bridge. The young woman is now undergoing treatment at the MGM Medical College Hospital,” said Paswan.
” I am in state of shock. My husband would fight with me every night under the influence of liquor. Last night also he came home completely drunk and quarrel with me. As I requested him not to consume liquor he first scolded me and then begged to pardon him.
He took me out from the house while it was still raining and after walking for about three kms we reached at the Domuhani bridge. He said they would watch the river from the bridge,” said Baby. She said she had never imagined that her husband would ever try to kill her by pushing from the bridge.
