Potka: The famous Harina Mela of Potka started on Thursday. A large number of people turned up on the occasion.
Hundreds of devotees of Lord Shiva visited Mukteshwar Dham for a glimpse of Lord Shiva. They earlier took a lucky dip in the local Bhokta pond and participated in a grand rally. The rally reached the temple amidst chanting of mantras and religious slogans. The fair will continue till 19th June.
In view of the huge turnout of devotees, puja organizers and volunteers distributed syrup, gram and jaggery among the visitors throughout the day.
A camp was organized for the purpose on the temple premises. Police officials were deployed at the fair venue to control the mob.
