Jamshedpur, March 13: Hundreds of Congress workers including many women joined Bharatiya Janata Party at a function organized at the district BJP office in Sakchi on Sunday.

Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP president Gunjan Yadav, Abhay Singh and many other party leaders welcomed the new entrants to the organization. They gave angavastra, garlands and sweets to the new members and formally inducted them into the party.

The new members said they had decided to come back to BJP after being disenchanted with the Congress. They said the charismatic leadership of PM Narendra Modi had made the BJP the only party with national identity in the true sense.

Gunjan Yadav said the BJP was a family and that the new members would be given due honour and place in the party. New members including Dilip Sahu, Amit Das and Raju Karmakar later met former CM Raghubar Das at his Agrico residence. Das congratulated them on joining the party.
