Jamshedpur, 24 August: Inspired by the principles of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and the developmental� policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, hundreds of Congress party workers led by� working president of Jamshedpur Rural District,� Manoj Kumar Sardar and the Block President, Buddheshwar Sardar have joined the� BJP.
In a function held on Sunday at the premises of BJP office in Agrico, the new members were welcomed to the party by former Chief Minister Raghubar Das, Member of Parliament Vidhut Varan Mahtao, former Potka MLA Menka Sardar and District President Gunjan Yadav.
Speaking at the function, Raghubar Das introduced the new members to the policies and principles of the party. He said the party has risen due to its policy of service and that the party has never been hungry for power. He further noted that in elections there is victory and defeat but BJP workers never lose heart in defeat. The former CM was of the opinion that BJP is the only party that follows the path of its beliefs. He said the party began its journey with two MPs only but the efforts of its workers helped the party reach pinnacle of politics. Attacking the Jharkhand government, Das said the incumbent government is misleading the people.
According to Das, the efforts of the government to fight against Covid-19 have not been effective. He said in spite of getting adequate time, lack of testing for Covid-19 even at the block level has resulted in widespread of Corona. Talking about the party, Das said BJP is the only party where party workers can become state and national leaders. He said other parties are dynastic where only family members can become Prime Minister and Chief Minister. Referring to the first MLA of Potka, Sanatan Sardar, Das said Potka has always been a bastion of nationalism since the days of RSS.
Addressing the new members, MP Bidyut Baran Mahto urged them to work in making the party stronger in rural areas. He asked them to get involved in the activities of the party and collaborate in solving the problems of the region. Mahto alleged that the JMM government, which talks about water, jungle and land could not save the jungle. On her part, former MLA Menka Sardar said the party will reestablish itself through mass contact and public communication. She said the public is aware of the failures of the JMM government and that in eight months the electorate has been let down by the government. She said the state government does not have any vision for development and public welfare.
