Hundreds join Youth Congress in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, July 5: With the Assembly elections just a few months away, political parties are ramping up their preparations. Today, a membership drive was held in Gwala Basti under the Jamshedpur East Assembly constituency, led by Satyam Singh, Senior Vice President of the Jharkhand State Youth Congress. The drive saw hundreds of youth, including Bittu Kumar Yadav and Mukesh Kumar, join the Youth Congress. East Singhbhum Youth Congress President Neeraj Singh welcomed the new members with garlands.

The event featured Jharkhand State Congress Committee Secretary Prince Singh as the chief guest. Addressing the youth, Singh criticized the BJP government, calling it a government of mere slogans, with terms like “smart city” and “ideal village” being deceptive. He emphasized the need to strengthen the Congress party in the upcoming Assembly elections and to connect people with Congress ideology to keep the BJP out of power in Jharkhand. He assured the new members of his support and urged all workers to address regional issues promptly.

Prominent attendees included Naveen Mishra, Kuldeep Singh, Raghu Chandan Pradhan, Amit Singh, Abhishek, Shubham, Nikku Singh, Pramod Rajak, Jackie Rai, Rajesh Sharma, Rajiv Yadav, Amit Paswan, among others, along with hundreds of young party workers. (w/gsd)
