Jamshedpur, Oct 31: Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West organised free health check up camp at inspection bhawan in Seraikela-Kharsawan on Sunday. Medical teams from Cancare, MTMH helped in oral and breast cancer check up while team Purnima Netralaya assisted in eye check up and cataract surgery of patients. Blood pressure, diabetes check-up was done by general physician. On the occasion medical team from Tata Steel UISL distributed medicines free for the patients.
The event was coordinated by SN Sewa Sansthan in presence of BDO Gautam Kumar from Kharsawan.
At the camp 115 patients were screened and made aware about breast cancer. During the camp one person was detected with breast lump, one with thigh nodule and one with cervix discharge. 200 patients had their random sugar and blood pressure checked and medicines were provided free of cost.
The camp was attended by volunteers from Rotary club of Jamshedpur West President Rajesh Kumar, first lady Naina Kumar, Club secretary Neeta Agarwal, Dr. Amit Mukherjee, Ajay Gandhi, Ruby Bhatia, Devesh, Rishi, Meena and Vinod Kumar, Dr. Vanita Pandey, Rotractors Akash, Tushar and Sandeep supported in making the camp successful.
Out of 200 patients checked at eye camp 38 were diagnosed with cataract surgery and 9 patients for PTR surgery.
