Jamshedpur : In celebration of Anti- Rabies Week from 28 September to 3 October, Humane Society International is giving free rabies vaccinations to pet dogs and community dogs in Jamshedpur.
The Anti-Rabies Week is being celebrated with support of JUSCO and TELCO. With presence in various locations and a helpline number, pet-dog owners can take their dogs to the camp that has been set- up and get your dog vaccinated for free against Rabies.

Humane Society International (global animal protection organisation) as part of the Jamshedpur Communities Dog Population and Rabies Management project sterilized more than 11,000 dogs since April 2013. Humane Society International and Animal Health Foundation launched this three- year project with support from the Jamshetji Tata Trust and JUSCO.
HSI which along with Animal Help Foundation (AHF) with support from Jamshetji Tata Trust and Tata Steel subsidiary Jusco (the local civic body) has been running a sterilization and vaccination program for stray dog in city since April 2013 also issued a helpline number today.
Anybody in Jamshedpur can phone/SMS us on 7766999232 between 8am to 6 pm and inform us about stray dog menace. We will catch the dog in a humane and safe manner and carry out vaccination and sterilization and then release it in the same area as then it would become a safe dog even if its bite.
