Jamshedpur, Aug 17: The 148th birth anniversary of Hrishi Aurobindo was celebrated online by the Aurobindo Society on August 15. Members spoke from passages of the Mother. Discussions on their life and philosophies were discussed with special mention on the relevance of Hrishi Aurobindo�s philosophy in modern times. Contextual mention from Sri Aurobindo�s most discussed, critically hailed and relevant through generations, �Sabitri� was made by members. The online programme was conducted by the vice chairperson of the organization Chaitali Sathpathy. The programme was conducted in two phases from 10 am and 6:30 pm.
Recitations and readings from Sri Aurobindo and the Mother�s writings were presented by Chaitali Sathpathy, K Prabhakar Rao, Awtar Singh Monga, Bimal Chakraborty, Dr Alok Pandey, KK Rao, Ranjit Das, Amit Roy, Sunil Chandra, Subroto Ghosh, Prashant Chakraborty, Sutapa Das, Gopal Chandra Saha and Gobindo Chatterjee. Devotional songs were rendered by Chandana Chowdhury, Abha Das and Bulbul Ghosh. Suchorita Chatterjee presented a dance recital. Manas Sathpathy and Sanat Patra coordinated the online program.
