Jamshedpur, Nov. 16: Surya Mandir in Sidhgora is all prepared for the Chhath festival. On Monday, the day when kharna is observed, chief minister Raghubar Das arrived in Jamshedpur and visited the chhath ghat at Surya Mandir. He inspected the preparations and seemed content with the arrangements made.
On the day when main offerings of argya to the Sun god, the mandir doors will be opened for devotees from 2 pm and they won�t be charged a penny for entering the ghats and it will be on first come first serve basis, said Pavan Agarwal of the mandir committee.
Surya Mandir will host several cultural events along with an hour-long firework on Tuesday, November 17. Famous singer, Sadhna Sargam, Surthi Singh and Krishna Chouhan will present devotional songs on the same evening. Drone camera will keep a watch were district police will also be present.
