Jamshedpur, July 9: Hot Strip Mill emerged as the champion of the Tata Steel Inter JDC Rafting Tournament 2026, organised by the company’s Department of Sports. CRM Bara finished as the runner-up, while Coke Plant secured the second runner-up position.
The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from 23 Joint Departmental Council (JDC) units, with 207 employees competing in the event. The competition highlighted teamwork, coordination and sportsmanship among participants.
Amit Modak, Head of Sports Academies, Tata Steel, attended the event as the chief guest. He appreciated the participants for their enthusiasm and encouraged employees to continue taking part in sports activities.
The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where the winning teams were honoured for their performances.
The Department of Sports congratulated all participating teams and winners, stating that the tournament reflected Tata Steel’s commitment to promoting fitness, teamwork and a vibrant sporting culture among its employees.
