Hospitals should start treatment under Ayushman scheme: Jharkhand Minister

Jamshedpur: State Rural Development Minister Neelkanth Singh Munda directed the district administration to hold meetings with various private hospitals to ensure implementation of Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Jan Arogya Yojana as soon as possible.

Munda, addressing a meeting of the District Planning Committee at the Jamshedpur Collectorate on Friday, said the DC and other district officials should hold meetings with private hospitals and ask them to start treatment of the beneficiaries in a hassle-free manner. The district administration should publicly display the list of hospitals available to the beneficiaries for treatment of various diseases, he said.

The minister reviewed the implementation of schemes selected by the District Planning Committee. He was told that the schemes would be expedited to ensure their success.

Munda directed the district civil surgeon to repair all ambulances in Baharagora. He said cent per cent electrification should be ensured in the district. The companies engaged in the job should involve more manpower to achieve the target, he said. He was informed that 30,000 households had got power supply under the Gram Swaraj Abhiyan in just one month. So far, 93 per cent households have been electrified, the minister was told.

Among those present on the occasion included the MP of Jamshedpur Bidyut Baran Mahato, Ghatsila MLA Laxman Tudu, Potka MLA Menka Sardar and Zila Parishad chairperson Bulurani Singh.
