Hooligans to face strict action on day of bandh: Chhavi Ranjan

Seraikela: Seraikela-Kharsawan Deputy Commissioner Chhavi Ranjan and SP Chandan Kumar Sinha held a joint meeting on Tuesday to chalk out plans to ensure peace during the July 5 Jharkhand bandh called by Opposition parties.

The DC said the district administration was on its toes to foil the bandh. He said no one will be allowed to take law in their hands in the name of bandh. He said the district administration would deal strictly with hooligans and other anti-social elements who forcibly try to down the shutters of shops and other establishments during the bandh. No shop or school will be shut during the bandh, he said.

The SP said that security will be beefed up at all sensitive places across the district. He said suspicious and anti-social elements would be arrested on the eve of the bandh. Police will patrol the entire district from dawn to dusk on the day of bandh, he said, adding that an adequate number of security personnel and magistrates would be deputed at sensitive places.
