Jamshedpur, Nov 22: A dramatic scene unfolded outside the Tatanagar railway station on Saturday morning after a Honda Jazz (JH 05 BN 5846) suddenly erupted into flames near the station’s main entrance, sending commuters and bystanders into a brief panic.
The vehicle, owned by Gamharia resident Srinivas Nayak, had been parked while he and his wife escorted their son to board the Duronto Express.
Moments later, the couple returned to find their car engulfed in a fierce blaze.

Railway Police, local authorities and the fire brigade swung into swift action.
A fire tender was deployed immediately, and considering the intensity of the flames, a JCB machine was also brought in to assist firefighters in dousing the inferno.
After nearly 30 minutes of coordinated effort, the fire was fully extinguished.
Though the car was reduced to a charred wreck, no injuries were reported thanks to the timely response.
Traffic outside the station was disrupted briefly but soon returned to normal.
Preliminary investigations suggest a possible technical malfunction, though officials are continuing their inquiry to determine the exact cause.
The incident drew a sizeable onlooking crowd before the police cleared the area to ensure safety.
What could have turned catastrophic ended as a dramatic yet casualty-free scare at one of the city’s busiest transit points.
