Jamshedpur, March 16: A 36 year-old man, identified as Anuj Kumar, was run over by a speeding truck near Shyamsunderpur police station on Wednesday. Sources said the deceased was on his way to Shyamsunderpur from Ghatsila. As he reached Shyamsunderpur police station, a truck knocked down his motorcycle, killing him at the scene.
The deceased hailed from Palamu and was posted in Shyamsunderpur. Jharkhand Home Guard Drivers Association has decided to give Rs 5000 to the next of kin of the deceased as ex gratia.
