Ho Community Stage Protest In Delhi For Inclusion Of Ho Language In Eighth Schedule

Chakradharpur: Hundreds of members of Adivasi Ho Samaj Yuva Mahasabha from Chakradharpur left for New Delhi by Utkal Express to press their demand for inclusion of Ho language of the community in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution.
Today, they staged a huge protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar and demanding that the Center includes Ho language in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution.
The people of the community also plan to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah and hand over a memorandum regarding their demand.
Srijan Haiburu, Ravindra Gilua, Madan Kumar Bodra, Bashil Hembram, Devraj Chatar and others were mainly present at protest in New Delhi. It has been told that since August 17, people belonging to the Ho-speaking tribal community from Jharkhand, Assam, West Bengal, and Odisha have been leaving for Delhi.
Apart from Chakradharpur, a large number of people of the society left for New Delhi by Utkal Express from Tatanagar, Rajkharsawan, Manoharpur and other stations on Saturday. Regarding their demands, the people of the society raised slogans at Chakradharpur station and said that inclusion of Ho language in the eighth schedule of the constitution will lead to all-round development of the society.
