Jamshedpur: A week long basic training camp of the Jharkhand state unit of Hindustan Scouts and Guides got underway today at Saptarshi Gurukul Ashram Samprada at Adityapur in Saraikela-Kharsawan district. Apart from 15 scouts and guides from the Gurukul, officials and students belonging to the scouts and guides units from Khunti, Dumka, Giridih, Hazaribag, Saraikela, Kharsawan, East and West Singhbhum and other districts of the state are attending the camp.
The chief convener of the training camp Pravin Kumar welcomed the guests and participants in the scouts and guides tradition and gave detailed information on its cultural aspects and relevance. Chairman of the Gurukul in his address recollected his times and provided the fillip to participants for putting in their hearts to the training. Indu Gandhi and her family members were impressed with the participants and the camp itinerary.
State secretary of the Hindustan Scouts and Guides Shanti Kumari and trainer Pramila Singh Kumari started providing training to the participants.
