Jamshedpur, April 9: The workshop on Xtreme Recycling conducted for the students of Hill Top School by Relearn Foundation Jamshedpur was a huge success. In all 90 students participated in the event. They were divided into six groups along with four teachers and six volunteers.

They visited the Digital Literacy Mission centers and Green Garbage Bags centers. These were at NML Agrico, Baridih, Vijaya Garden, and Tata Steels Bhalubasha Community Center. The volunteers included Sruti, Rima, Ashim Shrishti, Krishna and Dr Mita Tarafdar.

The students were accompanied by four teachers of Hill Top School. The students at the Green Garbage Bag centers saw how these bags were being made.

They interacted with the makers of these bags. It was an extremely interesting interactive session, which proved to be very satisfying.

The students took photographs, captured the bag making process in their video cameras. They have been handed over green garbage bags which they have to sell. This will improve their social entrepreneur skills.

The students at the Digital Literacy Mission were busy entertaining the students. They made drawings for them and sang songs for them. The students of DLM recited poems. They sang songs from the Jungle Book in chorus. They were very friendly and open to communication.
