Jamshedpur, July 6: Hill Top School proudly hosted the inaugural edition of ARTWAVE, an inter-school art event celebrating the creative talents of our city’s young artists.

This fest not only showcased artistic talents but also stood as a testament to the unifying, inspiring, and enriching power of artistic expression.

ARTWAVE brought together a diverse array of talent, featuring both emerging artists and established masters, each with a unique story to tell and a distinctive vision to share.

A total of 150 participants from 23 schools registered for the event. The participating schools included ADLS Sunshine School, Baridih High School, Church School Beldih, D.B.M.S Kadma High School, Gulmohur High School, Hill Top School, J H Tarapore School, JUSCO School South Park, JUSCO School Kadma, Little Flower School, Loyola School Telco, Narbheram Hansraj English School, R V S Academy, Rajendra Vidyalaya, River View English School, R M S High School, R M S High School Balichela, S K Public School Telco, Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, St. Mary’s English High School, Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vivek Vidyalaya, and Xavier School Gamharia.

The event featured nine different competitions in which students participated: Expressions (Pencil Shading), Palette Passion (Drawing & Painting), Colourful Canopies (Umbrella Painting), Vivid Vessels (Pot Painting), Brushstrokes (Canvas/Board Painting), Prismatic Perspectives (Glass Painting), Mural Marvels (Wall Painting), Masked Masterpiece (Chau Mask Painting), and Vibrant Veils (Duppata Painting). These events were judged by six renowned artists from the city: Ekta Jaiswal, Sujata Roy, Vijay Varan Sahu, Subodh Pandey, Nagesh Choudhury, and Sujata Roy.

The overall champions of ARTWAVE 2024 were Vivek Vidyalaya, with Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya securing the position of 1st runner-up.

The event was a grand success, highlighting the extraordinary talents of young artists and reinforcing the importance of art in education and community building.
