Jamshedpur, September 26: Police has solved the case of robbery from a trailer driver near Bhilai Pahari on NH 33 under MGM police station within 24 hours.
Four accused have been arrested in this case.
The arrested accused include Dawood Khan, Mohammed Adil, Raj Mandal and Mohammed Imran. All are residents of Jugsalai.
Police have recovered the scooter used in the incident from the accused. The looted money has also been recovered from the accused. The incident occurred late at 1 am on 24-25 September. Trailer driver Shankar Singh, a resident of Saran district from Bihar, was taking the trailer from Odisha towards Chandil.
On the way, near Bhilaipahari, four youths riding two scooters first overtook them and stopped the trailor and looted Rs 10,000 while assaulting them.
While trying to escape, the driver saw the number plate of a scooter. Shankar informed the police about the incident.
The police identified the robbers on the basis of the scooter number and arrested the accused. During interrogation, everyone told that they had prepared a gang to rob drivers on the highway. This was his first incident but the police arrested him.
