Ranchi, Aug.23: Reviewing the High, Technical and Skill Development Department, Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma has directed that all the functioning/proposed engineering / polytechnic colleges to choose contemporary subjects so that education can be imparted according to the demand of present and future.
She said that DRP should be made to open engineering colleges in all divisions by 2019 and land should be identified so that building construction can be started by the next financial year.
Mrs. Verma said that the institutions having zero deficiency already existing, diploma curriculum should be run in the second shift in the academic year 2016-18.
It was told by the department that zero deficiency is already existing in 3 state and 5 private polytechnics.
The CS directed to initiate departmental proceedings to fill in the vacancies. New polytechnics should also be opened.
