High-level meeting on scrap theft in Jamshedpur

Gamharia: The district administration convened a high-level meeting at the Gamharia block office to address the issue of scrap theft from industrial areas. Led by trainee IAS Kumar Rajat, the meeting included company representatives and administrative officials.

A Tata Steel representative highlighted thefts at the Tata Steel Long Product scrap yard, which have even led to violent incidents. SDO Sadanand Mahato stated, “Concrete measures will be taken to curb illegal activities in the area.” The administration committed to investigating the matter and ensuring law and order.
