Jamshedpur, Dec 12: Jharkhand High Courts decision to renew the mines of Tata Steel and SAIL is a big slap on the face of Jharkhand government and its Chief Minister Hemant Soren, said former BJP MLA and senior leader, Saryu Rai.

Party candidate from Jamshedpur West said Jharkhand government from the last six months is bargaining on the renewal of mines.

BJP has taken up the issue time and again but the state government was violating the law and relevant rules. Rai further informed that Governments Ministry of mines through an express order had ordered renewal of iron ore mines of SAIL and Tata Steel back in August but state government violated that order also.

Senior BJP leader further said that Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren was trying to renew iron ore mines of Tata Steel and SAIL along with dozen more business entities which was not legalized.

This was the reason he was not renewing the mines of Tata and SAIL and in turn the state was loosing crores. After the High court decision on renewal of mines, CM Hemant Soren is accused in the irregularity and is not fit to hold the post of CM.

It may be noted that Jharkhand High Court today overruled a petition filed by the state in November to bar SAIL from mining iron ore in Durgaiburu and asked the state to renew Tata Steel’s Noamundi mines lease in a week, failing which it could resume operations from December 18.
