Healthy eating habits taught to DPS students

Jamshedpur, Dec 12: In order to promote healthy eating habits among children, Dayanand Public School organized “Healthy Tiffin” competition for the students of Class 1 and 2.

Students tried their best to bring the healthiest food in their Tiffin boxes in order to win the competition.

Teacher Incharge of the contest were Seema Sarkar and Rajinder Kaur. Along with this “Cook without Fire” was also organized to avoid junk food and calculate the amount of fat and carbohydrates.

Students noted down the recipe of food cooked by them (in groups) and also nutritional value of each food item mentioned on a card.

All the recipes will be compiled in a booklet. Students of Std XI (girls) took part in the event.

Teacher Incharge of the contest were Tanya Ghoash and Sukla Bharda. competitions were part of ISA activities.
