Hemant Soren to be in custody during Holi

Ranchi, March 21: The troubles of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren are not showing any signs of ending.

Ranchi-based PMLA special court extended the judicial custody of Hemant Soren by 14 days in the money laundering case related to the land scam.

Hemant Soren will remain in Birsa Munda Central Jail, Hotwar, Ranchi till April 4.

ED had arrested Hemant Soren on January 31 after eight hours of interrogation in the case of illegal purchase of 8.50 acres of land in Bargai area of Chi. Since then he is in jail. Hemant Soren appeared in the court on Thursday through video conferencing and after this the period of judicial custody was extended.
