Help desk for political parties to stay outside radius of 200 meters of booth in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, May 9 : The political parties have been asked for to set up their help desks 200 metres from polling booths at West Singhbhum District. The district goes on poll on May 12.

In a review meeting, L. Khiangte, Chief Electoral Officer, reviewed the preparations and took stock of number of personnel deputed in the voting process and their training, EVM dispatch, model conduct and expenditure of candidates etc. He directed for provision of medical facilities, drinking water and toilets for the deputed personnel and security forces.

 The medical team has been instructed to make available all emergency medicines for poll personnel.

Vinay Choubey, Additional Chief Electoral Officer, said that the help desk of political parties must kept out of the radius of 200 meters of polling station.

West Singhbhum District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Arwa Rajkamal and Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum Amit Kumar were also present on the occasion.Necessary guidelines were also given regarding the ideal polling station

In the review meeting, Amitabh Kaushal, IG Operation Ashish Batra, West Singhbhum Superintendent of Police Chandan Kumar Jha, East Singhbhum SSP Anoop Birtharay were also present on the occasion.
