Jamshedpur: On the occasion of Road Safety Month, a talk show with Mr Raghavendra Kumar, popularly called the Helmet Man of India, was organised for senior school students and college youths.
Kumar addressed 300 college students, teachers, and youth about his personal experiences and how the loss of a friend motivated him for this mission. He is known for distributing 75000+ helmets amongst citizens of India and has featured in KBC. Kumar also drives various programmes under the Ministry of Road Transport.
A fire chat was also organised along with a Q&A session. Neeraj Sinha, Chief of Safety, Tata Steel, Agam Kumar, Chief of Safety, Tata Steel Gamharia, and the CII Young Indians team welcomed the eminent speaker.
SAFE Club, chaired by Ruchi Narendran, routinely organizes safety drives in 32 schools of Jamshedpur with awareness sessions and hands-on programmes on life-saving skills like CPR.
