Seraikela: Members of Jharkhand Medical and Public Health Employees Association, Seraikela branch, today organized demonstrations in all nine blocks of Seraikela-Kharsawan to demand fulfillment of their 11 demands.
They took out a protest rally which reached the office of the district civil surgeon and culminated into a meeting.
Leading the agitation, the Association general secretary Ramadhar Sharma and district secretary Anil Kumar Singh said the health department staff were compelled to organize the demonstration in favour of their demands owing to the apathy of the state government.
The main demands of the organization include giving benefits of ACP and MACP to the health staff besides correcting anomalies in the transfer posting of clerks as per transfer rules, promotion of the eligible Grade IV staff into Grade III posts and timely disbursement of salaries to all staff.
Among others present during the demonstration included Satyanarayan Prasad, RN Thakur, Deepak, Surendra Singh, Santosh, Amar Chandra Pramanik, Saroj Kumari, Ranjit Kumar, Sunil Mahato, Mrityunjay, Basanta D Hiramani, Rajesh and Amit Kumar.
