Jamshedpur, July 30: In the wake of the growing corona positive cases in Kolhan division, Health Minister Banna Gupta convened a meeting to discuss its prevention and treatment at local Circuit House. A future action plan was discussed for prevention and treatment of corona virus. The Minister gave necessary guidelines on various subjects including better arrangement of Quarantine Center, increasing testing capacity, increasing number of beds. The Minister said that the government is making every effort to protect people from corona infection and that the infected should get better medical facilities.
Gupta said that in view of Covid-19, the State Government is continuously expanding medical facilities. There is an effort to improve food, sanitation and health facilities for the patients.
In the meeting, Banna Gupta gave instructions to increase the corona testing being done at the present time. He told that with more and more tests will be conducted and reach more infections among patients and will be able to treat them. He informed that soon the number of machines will be increased so that more testing can be done.
The Minister directed the Deputy Commissioner, East Singhbhum that if any hospital does not treat patients, then they must act on such hospital and cancel its license and register an FIR. He told that the hospitals should not just think of the profits, they would not let them escape from responsibility.
Gupta said that it has been reported that in the emergency, Medica is preparing to close the hospital. He said that it is wrong at the time of this calamity, by issuing instructions to the Deputy Commissioner- East Singhbhum, to acquire the entire resource for the service and treatment of the patients of Corona.
He said that keeping in view the future of infection, isolation ward will come up at JRD Sports Complex, a professional college at Sidgoda. The government will use it as an alternative system if the bed is not reduced.
